The Mellon Center

Built by industrialist Andrew W. Mellon in 1887, Mellon houses the Office of the President as well as gathering spaces and conference rooms.

It also features lots of quiet study spaces for students on the ground floor including the solarium (or sunroom), a student favorite.

The basement is home to Mellon Board Room. Originally a swimming pool, it is now the home for many campus events like the annual Holiday Ball and Eggnog reception.

Ann Putnam Mallinson '61 Pondd

The Ann Putnam Mallinson '61 Pond offers a peaceful spot for students to read and socialize. It’s also a hub for campus wildlife— in the past, students have encountered turtles, koi fish, deer, and ducks enjoying the pond.
